LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center

Very good equipment but entirely rude and unprofessional staff. I'm a residential student who had to take several online classes this semester for my degree. Even though I frequently go to the Lahaye gym and have absolutely no problem getting in I recently updated my ID pass and was barred from getting in the next day. The front desk staff told me that because I was taking online classes I was not allowed access to the gym even though I came 2 days ago with no problem and paid the facility fee at the beginning of my semester to use all the facilities. The lady at the front desk was very rude and refused to let me in without paying the $5 fee. I ended up just paying the fee because I was annoyed but wanted to use the equipment. My sister was so upset at the treatment we lasted 20 minutes at the gym before she was asking me to go home. The nighttime staff are much better at customer service and doing their job.

It's a fun place to be! It's got a well equipped gym, indoor soccer field and indoor hockey field

Of course the staff was friendly and helpful. The rink was very large which made it possible to enjoy your time on the ice with a large crowd being present. I wish they would have more public skate days so it wouldn't be so crowded.

Great facility with lots of fitness equipment. I personally prefer the Loft with the CrossFit equipment. There are also numerous sports courts for one to play around on. Though one does have to be careful of what time they choose to go at, as it can get very packed with students and trying to find a machine can be difficult.

Awesome gym. Should allow spouses of students though also the gym locker locks are terrible. Half of them work properly... Also to add. The gym was closed for over a week for "cleaning and repairs" but is still dirty... Also they need to invest in more cable accessory racks and weight racks. Looks very disorganized. Update- still very disorganized. When I come first thing in the morning the ropes and different handles are still all over the ground. No cleaning had been done over the time they are closed and no organization. Just waiting for a staph infection to wake the staff up...
